Our campaigns seek
to protect and uphold the rights of LGBTI
people,
including their right to life, freedom
and safety.
Who We Are
Living as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI) person can be life-threatening in a number of countries across the globe. For those who do not live with a daily immediate risk to their life, discrimination on the basis of one’s sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression and sex characteristics, can have a devastating effect on physical, mental and emotional well-being for those forced to endure it.
Discrimination goes beyond being criminally prosecuted for being an LGBTI person and can include limited access to healthcare, difficulty in securing employment, bullying or harassment in the workplace and much more.
Protect LGBTI people from violence
Prevent the torture and ill treatment of LGBTI people
Repeal laws criminalizing consensual same sex relations and transgender people
Safeguard freedoms of expression, association and peaceful assembly
Our work
Equal rights are NOT special rights
Policy campaign
We learn from the lived experiences of LGBTI people and make recommendations to policy makers and other influential leaders on how to improve laws
Stigma reduction
Ending this epidemic requires addressing and eliminating stigma against LGBTQ people and discrimination across all facets of society — and embracing people of all genders for who they are
Supportive healthcare
Raising awareness and providing support, access to comprehensive, gender-affirming health care
Working with health care providers in local clinics and hospitals to change attitudes and bring education and support to the transgender community and linkage into medical care by providing FREE Medical Vouchers.
